NANN Meeting Notes
June 14th, 2005
Meeting was held at On The Border Restaurant, Boise.
Attendees-Susan Cheeseman, Sue Norris, Christine Padilla, Donna Swirczynski, Karen Smith, Kim Moerles, Tony Broderick, Lisa Broderick, Joyce Loveland, Cheri Beaumont.
Minutes: The minutes were approved and accepted.
Shirts Staff have expressed interested in GSANN shirts. Shirts are available for purchase. Those interested will need to talk with Sue Cheeseman
Membership- The membership committee reported that we currently have 22 members.
Treasurer No report.
Elections Sue Cheeseman announce the outcome of the election. The officers for 2005 2006 are: Sue Norris President, Karen Egli Vice President, Kim King Secretary, and Cheri Beaumont Treasurer.
Programs No report.
Communications Tony Broderick asked that the chapter pay for the web site time. This expenditure was approved by the group. Tony will let the treasurer know how the e payment needs to take place.
Legislative No report
Fund Raising Sue Norris presented the summer basket raffle idea. Sue has obtained tickets to the Shakespeare Festival and a picnic basket will be the theme. The group made a list on items for the basket contents. Sue asked that members bring items that they volunteered to contribute to hospital by Friday the 24th so that the basket can be assembled. Kim Moerles volunteered to put the gift basket together. Sue Cheeseman will prepare the raffle tickets for sale. Each member will need to sell 2 books of 6 tickets or $10 in tickets.
New Business Meeting times and days was discussed by the group. The new officers will discuss this and let the members know the day and time of the next meeting.
Possible GSANN team for the Womens Fitness celebration was brought up and will be discussed further at the next meeting.
National NANN News The National NANN meeting is in Anaheim Ca September 28th thru October 1st. Possible attendance by chapter members was discussed at the meeting. There were a number of members interested in attending the NANN meeting. Further information about this will be brought to the members by the officers.
Service Activity The group has been collecting snack foods for families staying at Ronald McDonald House. These snacks are labeled as a gift from the GSANN Chapter and were delivered to Ronald McDonald House in May by chapter members. This will be an ongoing service project by the chapter.
Summer Meetings The members present discussed plans for summer meetings. A suggestion for a picnic in the summer was made by one of the members. The frequency of the executive meetings was discussed. The bylaws will be check and a suggestion for meeting frequency will be made at the next meeting.
